You might have seen many persons celebrating their birthday and they celebrate it after a period of one year. They believe that birthday of a person comes after the completion of a year and that on their birthday they have grown up by a year. But the fact is this that birthday is being celebrated to keep yourself and your friends in dark. This is a tragic celebration. This is the blow of an extraordinary happening that a year of the age, of the body of the works to be performed has passed. It has moved out of hands. In fact a year can never pass unless a month, a day, minutes and seconds pass. In other words to witness the birth anniversary one has to pass through a large span of time. One has to pass through all big and small periods of life. I t can also be said like this that when each and every second gets accumulated it leads to birth anniversary. You might have understood what I want to convey that every second is a birth day, is a birth second. If you want to see yourself from the close proximity, you will have to take every second as your birth second and you will have to believe that every second gives new life to an individual and every second you are born afresh. Every second that has passed declares you dead. If it is possible to get the period of life(life span) at one stretch then the passion of a person for the life and period of life would compel him to collect the life span and put it in a safe custody so that he may utilize it for thousands of years. And if someone else is found selling the period he may purchase it.
But the happening that worries a man most is the span of life which one cannot get at a stretch. One gets it in seconds only. The materials in this universe can be in deficit or one may get them in plenty, but in the journey of life one gets the life span in seconds only. And with these seconds only contemplation, reflection and other works are associated. New reflection with every new second, this is the school of thought which could end all your doubts, troubles, misshapenness and distortions at an instant. You can find yourself a new man with every new second. And every second that has passed could be dead or drowned. This is the fact that every second that has passed is no more now and you have no relation with the deceased seconds. But I could say this thing with firm conviction that all your relations are with the dead only. You have no relations with those who are living. You have always established yourself in the time that has gone, that has passed. The parameter of your evaluation has been the time that has been declared dead. And whenever the context of living and existing arise, you seek the help of those episodes of your life which no more exist, which have passed.
You are not aware that there is a problem associated with you, the one which is dead for the society becomes dead for you and that which the society considers alive becomes alive for you too. You have wasted the whole of your life in this paradox, darkness and turbulence and you are wasting it till today. How is it possible that a man could be present in the time that has passed and in the seconds that are yet to come, it is quite impossible?
But all your planning’s, your workings and your performances are based on this philosophy only. When someone asks you, who are you? From where do you come from? What is the reason for your coming into being? What is your significance? You start explaining your past. But development and history belong to anonymous persons only. You have tied to balance your anonymity and tried to establish yourself by writing your history and by narrating the stories of your progress. But I feel a man has no past at all. It is this very moment, the passing seconds. The present moment is ever new. New breathe with every new second, new rhythm and new rhyme.
The experience of being a new man with every passing second of your life could make you realize this body, life and time. And you cannot have this realization unless you take every recitation of the Divine word (mantra) as the very first recitation. Only then the Divine Word (mantra) will synchronize with the living seconds and would save you and your existence from being dead and your energy will move towards completion.
The prime virtue of the mantra, veej mantra and of reciting the mantra is its being timeless. It is only in present state. To remember and to recite means to save your energy every second and to be in life every second. To be in the self and to experience the state of being, this is called the thoughtless and seedless state, to live and to awake in a second, to be deathless not to come in to being. Never to accept the past and future of a second, this is the biggest birth festival.
